Position - Electrical Engineer

GS Engineering, P.C. (GSE) is currently seeking an electrical engineer with 0-2 years experience. All qualified candidates will be considered, however local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing electrical design for hospital, office, commercial, retail, mission critical facilities and data centers from project conception through commissioning and acceptance.
• Assist in performing engineering, specifying, and designing of electrical equipment and systems for assigned projects. Process and review shop drawings.
• Prepare design / construction drawings in AutoCAD including one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, power plans, lighting plans and electrical detail drawings.
• Support senior personnel.
• Assist in survey and documenting of existing building conditions.
• Assemble documentation packages and produces drawing sets and keeps proper files and records related to assigned design activities.
• Assist in preparing commissioning specifications, method of procedures, pre-functional and functional test forms and integrated systems tests.  
• Assist in onsite commissioning activities including electrical equipment commissioning and electrical maintenance shutdowns.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Ability to work under general supervision and follow established work processes.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Travel and some overtime are required.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• AutoCAD experience strongly preferred.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) a plus.
